Heavenly Beaches on Earth

Sandy paradises

If there are beaches in heaven, we’re pretty sure they look like these.

Unawatuna Beach

Galle, Sri Lanka

Believed to be created by the Goddess of the Earth to save a shipwrecked Indian Price, Unawatuna beach is truly one of the world s most heavenly beaches in the world. The clear waters are home to spectacular coral gardens and the palm trees that line the dunes offer the perfect place to string a hammock.

Ses Illetes, Formentera
Baleric Islands, Spain

Spain’s spectacular Belaric Islands are renowned for their perfect beaches, yet none so much as Ses Illetes Beach on the Island of Formentara. With the glittering Mediterranean waters lapping its shores and an island vibe so addictive you will never want to leave, Ses Illetes is paradise, if not heaven, on earth.

Hyams Beach
Jervis Bay, Australia

According to the Guinness Book of Records, Hyams Beach has the whitest sands in the world. Add to this the pristine waters that are reported to be some of the cleanest in world, hence why they are home to one of Australia’s most diverse collections of marine life including whales, dolphins, turtles and manta rays, and the spectacular bush surrounds and Hyams Beach is a garden of Eden for beach goers.

Grand Anse

The ‘Island of Spice’ is home to at least as many beautiful beaches as the rest of the islands in the Caribbean Sea, however Grand Anse is its crown jewel. Scuba dive right off the beach into into its perfect waters bursting with coral and colorful reef fish and its picture-perfect sands are backed by a handful waterfront restaurants and bars that allow you to experience the beauty of Grand Anse into the night.

Anse Source d’Argent

The Seychelles is home to one of the world’s most photographed beaches, and one look at Anse Source d’Argent will leave no doubt in your mind as to why. Its heavenly shores look like a painting. The beach is lined with palms and majestic boulders, and fronted with powdery sand and that famous water of the Seychelles that is the sapphire that glitters on the hand of the earth.

Burau Bay
Langkawi, Malaysia

The beaches of Langkawi are Malaysia’s pride, and the main reason intrepid travelers venture to its wild and steamy tropical islands. In the island chain of Langkawi find Barau Bay, a beach too perfect for a postcard. The stretch of fine gold sand lined with palm trees swaying gently in the heavy salty breeze and clear calm waters are blissfully uncrowded compared to many in Malaysia, and quite simply heavenly.

Negril Beach
Negril, Jamaica

Jamaica’s shores are the original island paradise, immediately invoking thoughts of a hammock strung between 2 palm trees and the music of steel drums floating on a warm tropical breeze. The pick of the bunch is beautiful Negril beach, consistently rated as one of the world’s most spectacular beaches and home to the famous Rick’s Café, this is without a doubt Jamaica’s most heavenly beach.

North Shore
Oahu, Hawaii

Hawaii’s beaches always appear on lists of the worlds most beautiful, however few are as deserving as North Shore on the island of Oahu. So heavenly that it has been used as the location for a stack of movies and TV shows including everyone’s favourite, Baywatch, a day on North Shore will make you feel, or wish, you have died and gone to heaven.

Horseshoe Bay
South Hampton, Bermuda

One could argue that all of Bermuda’s beaches are heavenly, however Horseshoe Bay is a crescent of spectacular beauty, with sapphire waters and the island’s renowned crushed coral sands that glow pink in the sunset. Perhaps Bermuda’s most famous beach, the bay is a popular spot for both tourists and locals, however a walk at dawn will yield you the experience of having its idyllic shores all to yourself.
